"Women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world" - Hillary Clinton

Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) earn 33% more than women in other fields, yet make up only 29% of the STEM field (US Dept of Commerce).

The gap between the amount of women and men in STEM careers is largely due to social and environmental barriers which are in place beginning in childhood.

Increasing the amount of women in STEM could provide more innovation and creativity

In order to cause such an increase, young girl’s spatial abilities must be paid attention to and escalated, stereotypes and gender bias should be eradicated, and the STEM workplace needs to become more welcoming to women.
